Inside the Tia Lineker and Harry Ogambar Wedding

Content creator Tia Agombar, née Lineker had a simple vision for her wedding to football manager Harry Agombar: ethereal, and classic. “I wanted to look back in years to come and not regret picking trendy things in the moment,” she tells Vogue. Instead, she sought out the enduring and understated. “Whilst still incorporating the things I love right now,” she adds. In the end, this meant an intimate outdoor celebration in the foothills of the Mallorcan mountains, romantic decorations of lace and drapery, and a couture wedding wardrobe, carefully crafted by two local Australian bridal designers.

It was Mallorca’s century-old country estate, Finca Comassema, that Tia and Harry—who met 11 years ago in their small English home town—chose for their Spanish summer nuptials earlier this month. Nestled into the heart of the Tramuntana mountain range, the old manor and its grand gardens are surrounded by nature, completely secluded from the rest of the world. Which is exactly how the couple wanted it.

“It was exactly what we had pictured for our special day,” Tia says of the estate. “Classic, with a view—which was important for us—and totally isolated. It had the most beautiful ceremony space with a serene view, as well as a stunning dinner space and inside after party room. It was the whole package.”

The wedding plans come together in just under five months, with the bride enlisting the help of wedding planner Lucy from Isla & Smith. Keeping the styling cohesive and simple, Tia focused on her favourite textures. From a draped backdrop for the ceremony on the estate’s balcony, to draped dinner tables and hanging lamps for the reception, swathes of ruched off-white satins dressed the entire day.

“I also loved the idea of having lace to match my beautiful lace veil, so we had a lace welcome sign, and added lace to the border of our menus,” Tia says of the touches of delicate, openwork fabric. “The flowers were a mix of hydrangeas in white and green to match the surrounding greenery at the venue, and we added moss for a natural look.” Wanting to bring more of the natural environment in, scattered grapes to line the fountains and dinner tablescapes completed the picture.

As for her ceremony dress, the bride knew she wanted to wear a classic, full skirted gown. “It’s the one day in my life I could wear a princess dress,” she says, “but I wanted to keep the top super fitted with a straight neckline, and a dropped waist for a modern touch.” For Tia, there was no bridal studio better to help bring her couture dream dress to life than beloved Sydney-based designer, Pallas Couture. “The dress itself was very simple and timeless, but the look wasn’t complete without the lace border veil Pallas Couture created for me,” she says of the finishing detail. “It totally transformed the look. I couldn’t have wished for it to be any better. I’m so grateful for them and their talent!”

For her reception look, the bride looked to another renowned Australian bridal studio based out of Byron Bay, Kate Willa. Working with the team, the bride had the studio’s made-to-order, lacey Dylan mini dress crafted into a maxi version. “Which is something they had not done before,” the bride adds of the custom creation. “It was perfect for my first dance, cake cutting and to dance the night away!”

It was while the bride and groom were dancing, in fact, that nature treated them with the most unexpected part of the day. “We were all on the dance floor and looked up to see a meteor shower passing by,” Tia recalls. “I had goosebumps. We all just stared at it not knowing what it was. People thought it was fireworks, but it was like the stars aligned and we were exactly where we were supposed to be.”

Shooting stars might be hard to beat, but the bride is still spoilt for choice on her favourite moment. “From walking down the aisle with my dad, who is my best friend and the man who has always made my dreams come true, to the first dance with my husband and dancing the night away with my best friends—it was just the best day of my life, and I wish I could do it all over again.”
